Hi guys, happy Friday!!!
Ever since I got myself a Vitamix (aka the best thing I’ve ever purchased in my life, no lie), I have been on a MAJOR smoothie, juice, purée kick. I think I use my blender once a day, if not more. It makes the most creamy and delicious meals, and cleaning it is so easy, even I can do it 😉 Ok, so enough about the blender. I make smoothies for breakfast most mornings. They’re usually just combinations of whatever I have in my fridge, or what I’m in the mood for. I’ve been seeing gorgeous pictures of citrus all over recently, so I had to pick up some blood oranges to try myself. See the recipe for this delish drink below:
Blood Orange & Banana Smoothie
1 1/2 frozen bananas
1 blood orange
1/2 inch fresh ginger (or 1/2 tsp dried ginger)
1 tsp bee pollen (for vitamins & minerals)
1 tsp pomegranate powder (for antioxidants)
2 tbsp kefir (probiotic)
1/4 cup water
Blend all ingredients in blender until well combined. Enjoy!
